- What got you started in website design?
"To get my work known by art lovers and to get in contact
with art professionals. But quickly, my site became a particular
place, as a living house I build, restore or decorate permanently.
I have the feeling, by opening my site, to open the door of
a vast place where I installed all the things I like."
- What do you hope to accomplish with your website?
"To share a great book of pictures, feelings and emotions.
To bring creativity, taste and information. To receive criticisms
and comments which force me to remain humble, vigilant and innovative
with regard to my work. To exchange ideas and projects with
the virtual world."
- What advice would you give other webmasters?
"To present a clear and structured content, which implies
an easy navigation. Because if the contents of a site are interesting
by the information which it brings, its technical aspect contributes
enormously to the interest which it offers."
- What was the biggest problem you faced with your website?
"First of all, to translate paintings into words in
two different natural languages while keeping the same climate
because I am not bilingual. More technically, to find the right
tradeoffs between the loading speed and the picture quality.
Another issue is to be really browser independent, screen size
independent and scripting language independent."
- If you had to do it all over again, what would you do
differently?
"No. But if the gestation is over, the evolution remains
a permanent effort what results in incessant discoveries and
transformations."
- What plans do you have for the future?
"Get much more champagne because for each award, I celebrate
the occasion. Well, I am kidding! I wish to write computer languages
as well as I speak French. The web is a parallel world to our
reality and present in our daily life."
- What else do you like to do?
"I am into everything. Sometimes my Capricorn side keeps
my feet rooted in the earth, sometimes my Aquarius side throws
my head among the stars."
