UWSAG talks to Loren Sebastian
of Cerulean Vault Awards

Owner: Cerulean Vault
Winner: UWSAG Top Ten! March, 2003 - May, 2003

  1. What got you started in website design?

"Designing has always been running through my veins. Whether in my home or my ‘websites’. I started off with a Metallica fan site in 1997. With just 2 images per page and few lines of content, I found I can go much further in this field of web designing. Not only it opened my vast dimensions but also made my interest into a reality in the Internet world. Now in 2003 with my ‘6th Website’ and ‘7th Version’…Cerulean vault, it gives me great honor to view my achievements throughout the past years."

  2. What do you hope to accomplish with your award program?

"My goal is to serve mankind with my services to the utmost level. Applying for awards and then bestowing them has given me great opportunities as well as experience in the awards field too. Who does not like to be appreciated? Once you create something from a child to an adult, everyone has a desire of what sort of caliber they have crossed or level their ingenious to. I love to be more and more creative, thus giving out the best in me via my award program layout or content gives me such a pleasure hard to tell."

  3. What advice would you give other program owners?

"Believe me for over the past years which I have been through I have learned a lot. No matter how well you start with your website. Never submit it for a higher rated award program, which crosses even the boundaries of your imagination. Always start with a lower level. Not only will your capabilities be judged on a level basis but you will also come to know where you lost and which potential you succeeded in. Be very practical, your main award introduction page must be at its best to be a professional award program."

  4. What was the biggest problem you faced with your award program?

"All thanks to the Mighty God there was not as such big problem. But to be honest ;) few were always kept in the side pocket. More over in starting the criteria was not good as it should be and for me even ‘Never’ was ‘Satisfying’. I went on browsing other great websites and reading out the entire criteria, process and each ‘n’ everything in an award program, thus made up mind of the initial requirements and what shall be used as text. Making the award images always took out everything from me. I wanted to be more professional and give out the best of my mind can produce."

  5. If you had to do it all over again, what would you do differently?

"Definitely I would give my website a more professional look in its present state. Using the very latest in technology I would give my visitors something to enjoy and seek great knowledge from. Not only would I introduce different sections but will also pay homage to the greatest websites on the net."

  6. What plans do you have for the future?

"I wish to make my website something very special not only for me but for my visitors as well. Something they should always look forward too and make my work set as an example. There are still many tasks yet to overcome, I hope I will succeed one day giving out the best in me. The success of my website must not only go in my pocket but my visitors as well. Looking at the huge amount of applications I receive, with each month the number growing more and more. It gives me great honor to step in the future with full confidence, giving credit to my friends who have served me a lot in the past years till now."

  7. What else do you like to do?

"I want to create something really very special. By sometime from now I will start my work on it. As of now I just want to enjoy my life with my cat work with my friends and visitors as well."
