Winner: UWSAG Top Ten! for
July, 2003
- What got you started in website design?
"After researching my family history I wanted to share
information I obtained with other seekers of genealogical information."
- What do you hope to accomplish with your website?
"To make properly documented research available to visitors
and to acknowledge those genealogy sites with ethical research."
- What advice would you give other webmasters?
"Study award-winning sites for quality presentation
and leave out excess graphics that don’t contribute to
the information being presented. Also ensure you give credit
to sites you use graphics or information from."
- What was the biggest problem you faced with your website?
"Organizing all the information in a manner that allows
faster downloading."
- If you had to do it all over again, what would you do
differently?
"Concentrate more on data presentation than graphical
impression."
- What plans do you have for the future?
"Continuing to expand the GenEthics Certification program
for genealogy sites that practice protection of living individuals
data."
- What else do you like to do?
"Military history, working on my land in Alaska and
enjoying my family."
