1. What got you started in website design?
   
   "Actually the fun of creating graphics and the wish to share them with as many people as possible. What's better than putting them on a website? I was lucky to start with Dreamweaver, so it didn't take too long till I could happily present my first results."
   
   
   
2. What do you hope to accomplish with your website?
   
   "Actually I have already accomplished more than I had ever hoped for: my award has become an international "trophy" that is presented with pride. It makes the recipients happy and proud and these positive feelings come back to me. I know I also could help lots of people improving their sites by giving tips."
   
   
3. What advice would you give other webmasters?
   
   "Before you start your own program you should make up your mind about your purpose. If you give more attention to the quality of your award than the quantity of awards given, you should first work on your own site. Visit other good programs, carefully read their criteria and have a look at some of their winners. If you think your site has achieved a certain quality, start applying for awards to see if others share your opinion. If you manage to receive some good awards, you're on the right way and can think of starting your own program. In any case your site should meet your own criteria. You should be aware that having an award program requires a lot of time."
   
   
4. What was the biggest problem you faced with your website?
   
   "Sometimes it's hard to be fair and it can be difficult to make a decision. You can like a site even though it doesn't meet your criteria. And then there's another one that actually "has it all" but for some reason you have a kind of negative feeling about it. There were cases where I spent an hour just considering if I should give an award or not."
   
   
5. If you had to do it all over again, what would you do differently?
   
   "Actually I can't really think of anything. Maybe I would select another name as I'm always somewhere at the bottom of the alphabetical list."
   
   
6. What plans do you have for the future?
   
   "I don't really make plans anymore as too often I had to give them up anyway. When it comes to my website, an end of Wowgraphics is not in sight and more content will be added."
   
   
7. What else do you like to do?
   
   "Hiking, cooking and baking, meeting friends and lots of other stuff. I love animals and nature, my dream is to have a garden where I can grow fruit, veggies and lots of flowers."
